“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit” (John 15:5 NASB).
“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love” (John 15:10 NASB).
Welcome
Hi! I’m Laura Magid Mawer. So glad you stopped by. Let’s take a walk together and talk about Yeshua (ישוע). He’s my favorite subject of conversation. Yeshua [yeh-SHOO-uh] is Hebrew for Jesus, by the way. I’ve been enjoying a personal relationship with Him for over twenty years. He’s been so patient with me, His abiding branch.
How I came to faith in Yeshua is an amazing story. So I’m writing a book. The paperback and e-book will be available soon.
When we get to the “Hidden Blessings: Strength in Weakness” trail, I’ll share about a time I experienced Jesus’s blessings in my weakness. Some of my friends will join us there to share their own stories.
During this part of our journey, I’ll share about my relationship with Yeshua and insights He’s given me along the way. I hope you’ll share as well, in the comments area.
A good walk is always better with a good laugh or two. So, just for fun, I’ll share some funny stories during this part of our outing. I think God enjoys a good laugh too, come to think of it. He must have had a sweet chuckle while He was designing penguins.
Here we’ll explore the Jewish holidays together to see how each one points to the promised Messiah. You may be as surprised as I was to find Yeshua in each of them.
Join me as I blow the dust off the Hebrew Scriptures, commonly called the Old Testament. We’ll discover together what they teach about the Jewish holidays and how each one points to or relates to Yeshua. The Hebrew Scriptures are alive! Get ready to be blown away!
